iProxify 3.0 is Ready for Sale
Hi,
In the next few hours, you will see this update.
This is a major update, which should fix all the issues, and has a more “mac-looking” UI.
I know there were severe issues. But the company supporting the runtime which iProxify uses dropped the project, and has seized all kind of support. We needed to port the app to another environment, with another language. This may impose new issues, but normally they should be fixed waaaaay sooner than this release.
If you have troubles, please contact us. All support requests are read, but I cannot answer all. Most of the issues, if not any, I received are fixed in this release.

Find Your Mac 1.0 announcement
Today I am pleased to announce you that Find Your Mac is on their way. This will be a free Mac-track app, like the Find Your iPhone service of MobileMe.
Currently, it’s still in a closed beta, but it will be released before the end of the week on macupdate.
In the meanwhile, you can take a look at the interface, at bit.ly/yourmac . On that page, you can track the last 10 pings of your hardware to our servers.
For the privacy purists: all data is stored on secure servers, and is encrypted such that only with your password you are able to decrypt it. That’s why you cannot change your password at the moment, since it will require re-encryption of your data. Your pass will not be stored on your PC neither, only an authentication token which will be unique for your device is stored.
If you lost your pass, please contact support@yvansoftware.be with your inqury, and we will reset your account - this will result in the removal of all your previous pings.
If you want to delete your data, you can also contact me at the above mentionned email address.
This app will not be available in the mac app store at the moment, but it will be released on MacUpdate. It will eventually become available on that platform too, but for now that’s quite difficult.

iProxify and Problems
Hi,
I know you are all experiencing problems with iProxify. This is mainly because of the stubborn apple review team, since they have a problem with the fix.
The fix is already written, and tested, but every time they find a stupid reason to disallow it. Here are a few examples:
- Your app contains PowerPC code
- Your app does contain third-party code
- Your app uses a non-official runtime
- …
I’m going to try one more time to get the update in. If that doesn’t work, I’ll rewrite the whole codebase into Obj-C.
I know you were very patient, and I appreciate that. But the apple folks are giving every developer, iOS and OSX a hard time. This sounds very very frustrating, but maybe it’s time for Apple to learn something from other companies, like Google and Microsoft.
New iProxify Version

- Bug fixes

iProxify issues
If you get an error “Not Found”, please contact me A.S.A.P., through the commenting system, or whatever else. Then I will fix the problem fast.
If I don’t know there is a problem, I cannot solve it - I’m an individual who cannot monitor it’s servers day&night, but I do my best to keep them up as best as possible.
Please note that my servers are constantly under attack by malicious individuals who are trying to abuse my services. Keeping them out, and keeping you in, is a lot of work, and I’m trying to do that as best as possible.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience caused. People who ordered the program through Share*it, can ask a refund at share*it. People who bought it at the Mac App Store, can ask a refund over there.

iProxify Back up
Hi,
The IP numbers are changed, so it is possible that you’ll need to wait on the DNS propagation.
Also, a new version is on the way, it is currently being reviewed, and allows to choose out of one of our two servers (one in Danmark, and one in the US)
Another also, there’s something new on his way to the store, something SPAM related :-).
iProxify Down for max 3 days
Hi,
The hardware node of my main server was hacked, as stated in the email below. I am reconstructing everything ASAP. Thank you for your patience!
Yvan
Dear Yvan, I would like to apologize to our customers for this, and hope that we can move forward. This hurts both our customers and us as a company, and we will try to pursue all possible legal ways to find who did this and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. Thank you, Kenneth Odem, CEO
We regret to inform you that Virpus has had a security breach in our network, which has caused ~19 servers to have complete or partial data loss. There is only one server that has had partial data loss.
The list of nodes is as follows:
masi
hale
anderson
george
murphy
gemini
glacier
titan
willett (partial - VM’s are still running)
capricorn
clix
valarius
barksdale
robles
goss
olsen
wright
lang
royal
We know how the culprit(s) gained access and have recorded their IP’s. The point of attack has been cured. Virpus will be undergoing a complete security revamp in every aspect and will bring in a third party security expert to assist.
Virpus will offer any customers who are on these nodes who wish to resume services a 2 month credit on their services with us due to this. If you wish to get services again, please open a ticket with Sales and we will reprovision your VPS. You will be allocated IP addresses different than those you were originally assigned. For those who do not want to continue, we will be able to offer partial refunds for those who have prpaid their accounts. Please work with our Sales Department to make such arrangements.
I have helped build this company from the ground up, and it is especially painful for me to see such an event. You can rest assured that we are taking every measure possible to prevent an event like this from happening again.
